Thuja Design were appointed to create a flexible, adaptable and comfortable working environment with a strong focus on a design that would promote their employees’ workplace wellbeing.
The brief required a modern, vibrant design taking full advantage of the building’s existing architecture and the great views onto Birmingham's Victoria Square. They wanted to encourage collaboration and transform their culture by allowing teams to work together in a single space.
Following a series of development sessions and design workshops with the client, a modern and open-plan working environment was created. The space has been designed to attract talent, as well as enhance their existing culture, whilst also embracing new ways of working.
The new workplace offers a combination of open-plan space for their workforce, whilst also providing closed offices for Management. In addition, the building has 5,500 sq ft of showroom space, meeting and training suites, breakout area's, a private dining room and a trade counter.
Thuja Design worked closely with the Senator Group to provide a varied furniture solution that was in line with Headlam objectives and company culture. All flooring products were, of course, selected from their own brands or supply chain partners: Interface, Polyflor, Shaw, Crucial Trading, Gradus and Swiss floors to name just a few....
“Thuja Design took the time to understand our business and its needs.
They fulfilled our operational requirements but also added a degree of style that was in keeping with our aspirations.”
